Uncharted 2 is Naughty Dog’s highly rated 3rd person shooter that took the spot of the highest rated PS3 exclusive game. The great thing about this game is the story. It’s something that I can come back to and still be entertained. The main character is Nathan Drake, a fortune hunter who gets himself into all sorts of trouble. The story starts out with Nathan hanging from a train that’s hanging from a cliff plus he has a bullet stuck in his side. (Yes that is what the cover is.) You have to climb up the train before it falls. Then he goes through playable flashbacks taking him back before that event happened until you catch up to present time all the while you are fighting Russian terrorists. (Why is it always Russians?)

The online is simple yet fun. There are plethora of game modes and maps that you can choose from. The game modes are The Lab, Team Deathmatch, Elimination, Plunder, Objectives, and Ranked. All the maps are based on story levels. You start a match on ether the villain’s side or the heroes’ side. On each team you can change your multiplayer skin. during the game you start out with an AK-47, but can find all sorts of weapons on the map. You earn money and experience when you get kills and earn medals.

Overall I think Uncharted 2 has one of the best stories I’ve ever seen. and a decent multiplayer too. I think they could have done better on the online though. I would recommend this game to anyone who likes 3rd person shooters and can tolerate some swearing. (Though there is a slider in the options that can turn the dialog down.)
